Jochewed Schwarz

A graduate of the Rubin Academy of Music, Tel Aviv University, Jochewed Schwarz studied piano with Edith Kraus and harpsichord with Boris Berman. Later on, she studied at the "Schola Cantorum Basiliensis" (the Music Academy of Basel) with Rolf Junghanns and Christiane Jaccottet and graduated with a Diploma in Early Music.

She acquired further education with Emmer Buckley and trained in the construction and maintenance of the harpsichord at the Reinhard von Nagel atelier in Paris.

She performs as soloist and chamber musician, playing harpsichord, clavichord and fortepiano in concert-series and festivals; has recorded extensively for the Israel Broadcast Authority's Voice of Music radio station. Her repertoire includes early and modern music as well as works especially written for her. She was a senior lecturer at the Rubin Academy of Music and serves as guest lecturer in Israel and abroad.
