Max Teppich
Max Teppich began to study the violin at the age of five. At fourteen he entered the Royal Academy of Music to study with Frederick Grinke, graduating at twenty with numerous solo violin prizes, the recital diploma and the L.R.A.M. Afterwards Max Teppich studied conducting with Prof. Brian Brockless and had lessons with Dr. Norman Del Mar. Mr. Teppich performed as soloist in many English cities and several times at London`s Wigmore Hall and Purcell Room. For some years the artist was professor of violin at the Guildhall School of Music (Junior Dept.) and a member of the English Chamber Orchestra. Moving to the U.S.A. in 1989, Mr. Teppich studied with the renowned violinist Ida Haendel, returning to Brazil in 1993 to be appointed Professor of the Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais, and concertmaster of the Orquestra Sinfonica de Minas Gerais.
