John Kenny

John Kenny is one of the world's foremost exponents of the contemporary trombone repertoire, specialising in "extended techniques". He is also a composer, (publisher, Warwick Music warwick_music@compuserve.com) and an actor, being co-founder with playwrite Paul Stebbings of the TNT Music Theatre Company, which tours worldwide from its base in Munich.

Since 1995, Kenny has become increasingly involved in musical archaeology, and is the world's only exponent of the 2,000 year old Celtic war horn, the Carnyx. He is a professor at both the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London, and the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama in Glasgow.
