"Oliver Williams relived the music with wonderful understanding and feeling."
Newbury Weekly News
"Oliver Willams' playing, in these different styles, was masterly, and the intimacy of the drawing-room venue also contributed to the enjoyment of the music."Oliver Williams gained a Performers' Diploma at the Royal Academy of Music at the age of seventeen. He went on to study there with Vivian Langrish, winning several awards. Further studies with Moura Lympany led to semi-final places at the Ettore Pozzoli competition in Milan and the Beethoven competition in Vienna.

"... for the Moonlight Sonata, Mr. Williams gave us an opening Adagio of naturalness and classic flow, quite unimpeded by romantic mannerism or quasi-impressionism, and his Presto, too was vital and alert, devoid of stale preconceptions.." With such winning lyric gifts, Mr Williams was naturally at his very best in the burgeoning life of Ireland's Song of the Springtides and Grieg's To Spring."
Daily Telegraph
His wide-ranging repertoire includes most of the solo piano works of Beethoven and Chopin. He has a keen interest in British music and has recently made a disc that includes works by Sullivan, Ireland and Bridge and two new works by Peter Thompson. He enjoys giving performances of light music from the 1930's and 40's mostly with a trio. In addition to solo playing his career includes song accompaniment, arranging - mostly for youth orchestras - and extensive piano teaching.
"His programme ranged from popular 30's favourites in a loping sing-along style, through Kern, Porter, Rodgers and Gershwin, to a sprinkling of light classics. A selection from The Merry Widow, a little Liszt and Schumann and a pair of Chopin nocturnes added relish to the general fare, and the pearly clarity of his Fantasie Impromptu was a delight. ."
